RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., June 30, 2005- Geomagic has named Andrew Stein vice president of marketing, product and business development. Stein assumes the post on July 1.

In his new position, Stein is responsible for Geomagic’s strategic marketing, business development, product management, third-party relationships, and channel marketing. He had similar responsibilities with Leica Geosystems HDS, the high-definition surveying unit of the global company. Before that, Stein was a business development leader at Reed Construction Data, a division of Reed Business Information, and held strategic leadership positions over 16 years with Autodesk, one of the world’s leading CAD/CAM companies.

Stein brings experience in key strategic development areas for Geomagic, a national Technology Fast 500 company that over the past couple of years has doubled its workforce, recorded ten-fold increases in profitability, and created an international presence.
