Life-changing Healthcare Solutions and Key Speaking Engagements

Dr. Jeffrey Graves(link is external), President and CEO of 3D Systems Corporation(link is external) and Patrick Treacy(link is external), Founder and CEO of Onkos Surgical(link is external) took the stage for Day 2's Executive Perspectives Keynote series to discuss how 3D printing is disrupting traditional implant manufacturing for healthcare. By enabling patient-specific life-changing solutions to address the most extreme medical challenges, attendees learned how innovation is transforming healthcare and patients’ lives in this informative session of the Executive Perspectives Keynote Series.

New, Innovative Technologies Introduced

3D Systems was excited to announce several new solutions designed to create cost-effective and efficient additive manufacturing applications for our customers ahead of Rapid + TCT, including our Figure 4® 135 3D printer and Figure 4 Tough 75C FR Black material, a high-throughput, precise manufacturing solution for high mix low volume plastics.

With extremely high out-of-box precision and very high stability, the Figure 4 135 solution is ideal for manufacturing industries where a process capability index (CpK) of at least 1.33 or above is required for critical processes. By applying this solution, manufacturers can eliminate tooling and inventory management, and reduce costs by multiple orders of magnitude.

New innovations also include our new module for large-format EXT Titan Pellet Extrusion printers, allowing customers to achieve up to 60% improved process efficiency, in addition to the expansion of our QuickCast® Diamondâ„¢ solution now available for the PSLA 270 3D printer to produce easier to cast, complex master patterns more efficiently.

The Latest Advancements to our Large-Format EXT Titan printers

Get to know more about the latest advancements to our large-format EXT Titan printers with Haley Stump(link is external). With this innovative module, customers can utilize part solidity optimization and print bed mapping to achieve up to 60% improved process efficiency for applications such as jigs and fixtures, tooling, & patterns.

Available in Q3 of 2025, this scanning technology will be standard on new EXT Titan Pellet systems equipped with the optional milling spindle toolhead, and the hardware can be field-installed on existing machines, integrating seamlessly with EXT Titan control software.

The Future of Aerospace & Defense Engineers and Applications

3D Systems was happy to feature members of the Purdue Space Program: A SEDS Chapter(link is external), Indiana's premier collegiate liquid rocketry team in our RAPID + TCT(link is external) booth to showcase their 3D-printed fuel injector. 3D Systems assisted them with their 3D printed fuel injector made from LaserForm Ni718 and produced via DMP technology. The students at PSP Liquids have gained real world experience cooling rocket parts to cryogenic temperatures prior to firing the rocket's engine. The PSP team answered questions about the LaserForm Ni718 part and their upcoming planned launch over the Mojave Desert at the F.A.R. Launch Complex.

Cutting-edge Solutions in Healthcare Additive Manufacturing

During the show, we showcased digital workflows for healthcare applications, utilizing our best-in-class 3D printers and materials to deliver patient-specific solutions. Attendees were able to take a look at some of the innovations our experts had on-site.
