Elevate 3D Printing at the Point of Care

Bringing 3D printing and procedural planning technologies to the point of care (POC) can help providers personalize outcomes, increase efficiency and lower the cost of care. Additionally, on-site 3D printing can be leveraged to fill supply chain gaps, enabling the production of needed medical supplies on demand. However, many 3D print labs have yet to experience the full potential of what is possible.

Meet with our experts in North Hall, Level 3, Booth #8110 to learn about POC device manufacturing, quality and regulatory compliance, as well as how we partner with 3D printing centers at hospitals worldwide.

Don’t Miss Our Presentations

  1. Innovation Showcase: Advancing Medical Innovation with Printing PEEK at the Point of Care: Our Experience

Presented by Stefanie Ficht (3D Systems)

Wednesday, December 4 at 11:30 am - 11:50 am CT

Location: RSNA Innovation Theater, Booth 3316, South Hall

The innovative EXT 220 MED extrusion platform enables 3D printing of medical implants in high-performance materials such as PEEK. It is the technology that is used to produce the world’s first 510(k)-cleared, patient-specific, 3D-printed PEEK cranial implant, which underscores our commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Since August 2023, the EXT 220 MED has been used for printing PEEK cranial implants at the point of care (POC) in Europe, providing surgeons with a rapid way to provide personalized treatment solutions for their patients.

In this presentation, you’ll hear about our experience implementing PEEK printing at the POC and share clinical results from more than one year of clinical practice. You will also get to see current and future applications, addressing not only implants in native PEEK, but also devices in HA-enhanced or carbon-fiber reinforced PEEK to improve osseointegration or strength of the printed parts.

  2. RSNA 3D SIG Symposium:  Building Hospital and Industry Collaboration: Impact on Patient Care, Education, and Research

Presented by Trish Weber, MHA, R.T. (R) (CT) (ARRT) (Clarkson College) and Anne Bantawan, BS (3D Systems)

Thursday, December 5 at 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm CT

Location: Room E350 at McCormick Place

During this session Trish Weber and Anne Bantawan will be sharing insights on how the partnership between the 3D Printing and Training Center at Clarkson College and 3D Systems drives innovative workflows in healthcare, cutting-edge education and groundbreaking research.
